We are proud to announce that Edge Kayak has entered a partnership with Skim Kayaks — premium, hand-made composite sea kayaks since 2003. It is a meeting of two traditions that have always chased the same thing: kayaks that are a joy to paddle when the water turns playful.

As part of the partnership we have moved our production to Skim Kayaks’ factory, Eagle Composite — a professional team in Berat, Albania with decades of experience in kayak building. The result is the finish and consistency you should expect from a boat built by people who do nothing else.

Special thanks to Evert Aartsen — an exceptional person and a genuinely skilled craftsman. The top quality of our Edge Alnes v2 owes a great deal to his eye and his hands, and to the experienced team building alongside him.

Of course, we would love for you to buy an Edge Alnes. But we have to be honest — the Skim Braveheart and the Beaufort are kayaks we simply love to paddle.
