Rune is a true waterman. Surfer, wave sailor, foiler, kayak enthusiast — if it floats and moves in waves, he's done it. He's spent countless hours reading the sea, chasing swells, and building an intimate relationship with the ocean that few people ever develop.

When JP sent him a link to the Edge Alnes the day it was introduced, Rune didn't hesitate. He reached out to Edd almost immediately, and what started as a simple conversation about a kayak quickly turned into something more.
Rune brought years of experience not just as a paddler, but as a skilled surf photographer and entrepreneur. Edd brought the vision behind Edge. Together, they built a partnership — and Rune invested in Edge Kayak International.
December at Jæren – Swell in the Ocean. Alnes Ocean and Rune Enjoying a Great Session.

Rune engaged in a slow-motion conversation about surfing with the Edge Alnes Ocean.
Rune talks about what he thinks about surfing while trying to execute what he talks about. Surfing small waves while attempting to demonstrate what he is talking about is easier than actually doing it :)

Rune testing his brand new Alnes Ocean Solid+ edition
Rune took his brand new Alnes Ocean Solid+ edition out for a spin at Jæren this evening. It was a fantastic surf session with a northwest swell and temperatures dropping to -2°C. Despite the cold air, the ocean is still 'warm,' making for a great ride. The Alnes Ocean handled the autumn swells effortlessly, letting us enjoy both the thrill of the waves and the stunning Norwegian coastline.

Edga Alnes Ocean, Fredrik, Rune and the river
This weekend, Rune met up with Fredrik Feyling for some river paddling with our Edge Alnes Ocean. It was an awesome challenge working on technique and getting tips from a true expert. Huge shoutout to Fredrik for the guidance—it was super fun, and the boat handled the river's push like a dream. River paddling definitely requires a different skill set, and we're excited to bring these new insights back to the ocean.

Rune has since become the Edge Alnes' most dedicated ambassador — not by title, but by hours on the water. He holds the unofficial record for most sessions in the kayak, logging more than a hundred and fifty days in the waves last year alone.
